Sudeep Upadhyay, Balrampur. A case of cheating of crores of rupees from villagers has come to light in Chalgali police station area of Wadrafnagar of the district. People have been defrauded by luring them to double their money. Villagers of 30 villages have even given money to PM Awas Yojana in the greed of doubling their money. More than 50 victims have complained about the matter at Chalgali police station.
According to the villagers, people of 30 villages have been defrauded of about Rs 10 crore by luring them to double their money through ANTOFAGASTA app. Due to greed, the villagers have lost money by mortgaging the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and paddy crops. More than 50 villagers have complained about this in the police station. According to the villagers, there is a possibility of other people also being cheated. After the complaint, the police has started investigating the matter.
The fraud gang will be caught soon: SP
In this matter, Balrampur Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Venkat said that the police has received the complaint. The police is investigating the matter seriously. Balrampur police will catch the fraud gang as soon as possible.
