Manendra Patel, Durg. Police was not getting any clue about the blind murder of Chowkidar Mohan Sahu in Chunkatta village of Utai police station area. It was not possible to find out who the killer was. Finally, after investigation on technical basis, police solved the murder mystery. Revealing the murder, police said that the woman living in live-in relationship murdered the Chowkidar and absconded. The woman was upset with her partner’s habit of drinking and fighting.

According to the information received from the police, Draupadi had left her husband after a quarrel a month ago and during this time she came to Raipur and met Mohan and started living with him. Meanwhile, she started insisting on returning to her husband. Live-in partner Mohan did not like this. He threatened to show the woman’s objectionable videos and photos to her husband. Meanwhile, Mohan, who was addicted to alcohol, used to beat Draupadi every day and to get rid of him, Draupadi killed him on the night of 12 August. Draupadi told the police that after drinking alcohol and beating him, when Mohan fell asleep, she hit him on the temple with an iron crowbar kept in the next room and leaving him in the same condition, she locked the room from outside and went to her maternal home.

SDOP Patan Ashish Banchhor and Additional SP City Sukhnandar Rathore said that the police did not have any specific clue in this case, but after questioning a person from village Chunkatta, it was found that a woman was living as Mohan’s wife for the last one month and she is missing. After this, the police started investigation on the basis of technical link and reached the woman. After this, the woman confessed her crime in front of the police.
