MP NEWS: Police has achieved great success against illegal liquor smugglers in Ratlam district. On Saturday, Javra police seized a truck filled with 500 boxes of illegal English liquor. The value of the seized liquor is said to be around Rs 55 lakh. Giving information, SP Amit Kumar said that strict instructions were given to all the police station in-charges to stop illegal liquor smuggling in the district. Under these instructions, Javra CSP Durgesh Armo and Javra city police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Jadaun formed a special team. This team was active in Amrod area near Bandi Chod Dargah, from where the suspicious truck was caught and brought to the police station. During preliminary investigation, the two accused present in the truck were identified as Sunil (resident of Ambua, District Alirajpur) and Rohit (resident of Udaigarh, District Alirajpur). Both the accused were arrested from the spot. It is not yet clear from where the illegal liquor was being brought and where it was to be delivered. The police is investigating the case in depth so that the entire smuggling network can be exposed.
