Raipur. On the lines of Chhattisgarh, paddy will be purchased at support price in Odisha also. The study team led by Odisha Food Minister Krishna Chandra Patra today observed the paddy procurement system and PDS system in Chhattisgarh and praised it. Patra said that now on the lines of Chhattisgarh, paddy will be purchased from farmers in Odisha along with support price along with additional incentive amount. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Manjhi has taken a decision in this regard in the first cabinet meeting itself.
Odisha Food Minister Krishna Chandra Patra said that a good governance government is running in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of simple and easy Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. Praising Chief Minister Sai, Patra said that the Chhattisgarh government is proving true to its policy of zero tolerance. He said that the government’s zero tolerance policy will be implemented to curb corruption in Odisha also.
Odisha Food Minister Krishna Chandra Patra said that Chhattisgarh and Odisha are neighboring states. With the double engine government, both the states are developing at a fast pace. He said that the ministers of Chhattisgarh government have assured us of all possible help. Wherever deficiencies are found in the paddy procurement system and PDS system in Odisha, the schemes will be implemented in a better way by emulating the system of Chhattisgarh state.
The study team discussed in detail with the Food and Cooperation Minister
Patra said that in Odisha also, the study team of Odisha has come here to implement the paddy procurement system on the lines of Chhattisgarh. He met Chhattisgarh Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel and Cooperation Minister Kedar Kashyap and discussed in detail regarding the paddy procurement system. Also, after meeting with the concerned senior officials of Chhattisgarh government, each and every fact was studied in detail through power point presentation. The system was studied in depth by the study team by visiting zero points in agricultural produce markets, grain warehouses and government fair price shops.
