The bodies of the mother and daughter were found under suspicious circumstances in a field near a canal in Peedha village, about 5 kilometers from the house. Let us tell you that Talib Sheikh, the head constable posted at Kotwali police station, was living with his wife Mehu Faiz and daughter Aaliya Sheikh (16 years) in a rented house near Surajpur Ring Road. When the head constable returned from patrolling on Sunday night, he saw that the house was stained with blood. Wife and daughter were missing from home, whose dead body was found in a semi-nude state in the canal of the farm in Peedha village, about 5 kilometers from Surajpur. After committing this crime, habitual criminal Kuldeep Sahu, who was a district resident, has absconded.
After this incident, the angry mob set fire to the house of the accused and his relative’s warehouse. Many vehicles were also burnt. The mob also tried to kill the SDM for trying to intervene.
