In the wake of a controversy involving Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad, who confronted a canteen employee over food quality, Uddhav Thackeray has pointed fingers at Eknath Shinde. Thackeray suggested that Shinde might be orchestrating a plot to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Gaikwad, who is part of the Shinde-led faction, justified his actions by highlighting long-standing issues with the food served at the canteen, including complaints about stale ingredients and hygiene. Fadnavis, addressing the state assembly, disapproved of Gaikwad’s behavior and stated that such actions are unacceptable for any public representative.
