The India Alliance is convening a meeting in Delhi today, with the restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir high on the agenda. Farooq Abdullah, the head of the National Conference, has stated that the issue will be addressed. Additionally, five new judges will be sworn into the Allahabad High Court today. The judges taking oath are Pramod Kumar Srivastava, Zafir Ahmad, Santosh Rai, Abdul Shahid, and Tej Pratap Tiwari, following a notification from the Union Ministry of Law and Justice on August 4th. Furthermore, farmers in Uttar Pradesh will see a shift in circumstances over the next two days. The state government, through the agricultural department and under the supervision of District Magistrates, will use an e-lottery system to select farmers eligible for subsidized agricultural equipment. This selection process will take place across all districts on August 7th and 8th.
