Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, has launched a scathing attack against the BJP, alleging that the party is falsely categorizing Bengalis as Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. During a public address, she stated, “We will fight inch by inch,” signaling a firm stance against the perceived injustices. Banerjee underscored the contributions of Bengalis to India, highlighting their cultural significance, including their role in the creation of the national anthem. She accused the BJP of manipulating voter lists, mirroring actions in other states, and aiming to replicate these tactics in West Bengal. The Chief Minister expressed her respect for the Election Commission while warning that she would not tolerate any BJP-led interference.
