In a pointed critique, Central Minister Giriraj Singh has challenged the efficacy of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s governance model after 15 years at the helm.
Addressing journalists in Kolkata on Friday, Singh underscored the state’s industrial stagnation at under 3% growth and the debt-ridden populace. ‘This is the true measure of her long rule,’ he said.
He took strong exception to her sit-in favoring infiltrators, questioning societal tolerance for such leadership. ‘It’s like the robber berating the watchman – a direct outcome of her policies,’ Singh remarked.
Highlighting the despair gripping farmers and workers across villages, he accused TMC of embezzling massive central grants of Rs 15 lakh crore, propelling party members to wealth while the state crumbles. Now, Banerjee allegedly uses criminals to champion outsiders.
‘With every group suffering, can we accept this chaos? The answer is a resounding no,’ he concluded.
Singh’s forthright comments reflect BJP’s strategic push against TMC, focusing on economic woes, corruption allegations, and national security lapses in Bengal.
