Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is maintaining order after the violence on September 26th, with significant security forces present. A Samajwadi Party delegation, headed by senior leader and Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey, planned a visit to Bareilly today to evaluate the current circumstances. The administration, however, has denied them permission. Police have been stationed outside Mata Prasad Pandey’s home in Lucknow, and a notice from the PGI police station has been issued, restricting their entry into Bareilly.
