Saturday brought cheers to Mehrauli residents as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta rolled out projects surpassing Rs 135 crore for the area’s upliftment. The occasion was steeped in tradition, with the CM’s visits to Yogmaya Temple for puja and Gurudwara Baba Banda Singh Bahadur for prayers.
Through a post on X, Gupta painted a vivid picture of progress: ‘Viksit Delhi begins at home and in assemblies like Mehrauli, which is surging ahead. We honor history by pairing it with 21st-century facilities—preserving the past, powering the future.’
Lashing out at AAP, she accused them of cosmetic governance. ‘Delhi shone in ads, but Mehrauli’s soul and needs were ignored amid their power obsession. Our focus: genuine service, governance, and growth.’ The projects emphasize hygiene, solid infrastructure, and secure, orderly lives.
At the venerable Yogmaya Temple, Gupta drew on its legacy of power and faith. ‘Mata’s grace has spiritually nourished this city for ages. Praying for prosperity in every household,’ she shared.
The gurudwara homage, timed with Guru Har Rai Ji’s birth anniversary, called for unwavering service and equality. Warm wishes flowed from the CM to the Sikh community.
Mehrauli’s transformation under these schemes heralds cleaner, stronger, and more vibrant communities. This event exemplifies how the government weaves cultural reverence with developmental zeal, setting benchmarks for urban India.
