During the 126th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected on the forthcoming 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He discussed the significance of the RSS’s establishment on Vijaya Dashami in 1925, when the nation was grappling with the shackles of colonial rule. Modi stated that the core strength of the RSS lies in its spirit of sacrifice, service, and discipline. He pointed out the organization’s continuous dedication to nation service over the past century and its immediate response during times of national calamities. In addition to this, Modi celebrated the inclusion of Kolkata’s Durga Puja on the UNESCO list and honored the legendary Lata Mangeshkar. He also encouraged people to visit the temples dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki and Nishadraj in Ayodhya, and announced the upcoming Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.
