During his visit to Gaya, Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched several development projects worth around Rs 13,000 crore. He was joined by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other officials. The Prime Minister initiated two new train services aimed at improving passenger convenience and boosting tourism to Buddhist sites. In his address, PM Modi sharply criticized the RJD’s past governance in Bihar, labeling it as a period marked by lawlessness and lack of progress. He stated that the region suffered under the RJD’s rule, which he characterized as an ‘era of darkness,’ hindering education and employment opportunities. The Prime Minister praised the current government’s efforts to foster development in Gaya, highlighting initiatives in various sectors, including healthcare and energy. He also celebrated the distribution of houses under the PM-Awas Yojana, emphasizing the provision of essential services in these new homes. PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that all eligible individuals receive housing under the ongoing scheme.
