Himachal Pradesh has seen numerous landslides and cloudbursts, causing widespread disruption and damage. Punjab is grappling with extensive flooding due to the continuous monsoon rains. Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister cast his vote in the 15th Vice Presidential election, joining other leading figures in the democratic process. The election features a contest between NDA’s CP Radhakrishnan and the joint opposition’s B Sudershan Reddy, with the vote count slated for later.
