Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Assam began on Saturday in Guwahati. Sunday will see the inauguration and foundation laying of projects exceeding 19,000 crore rupees. The Prime Minister will then proceed to Kolkata from Jorhat Airport. The Indian women’s hockey team made it to the final of the Women’s Asia Cup in Hangzhou after drawing 1-1 with Japan in their last Super 4 match. They will compete against China in the final on Sunday. The winner will qualify for next year’s World Cup, co-hosted by Belgium and the Netherlands. Furthermore, Nepal’s interim government is expected to expand its cabinet today.
