BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it abundantly clear to US President Donald Trump during their phone conversation: India is unified in its refusal to accept external mediation on matters related to Pakistan and Kashmir. Surya explained that this is the consistent viewpoint across all Indian political parties. He also mentioned the Pahalgam terror attack from April 22nd where 25 people were killed. Highlighting the recent events, Surya pointed out the contrast between India’s and Pakistan’s responses, noting that India targeted terrorists, while Pakistan was responsible for the deaths of civilians. In the call, PM Modi underscored India’s established position concerning Kashmir and Pakistan, and the country’s firm stance against mediation. Furthermore, it was revealed that discussions did not involve India-US trade deals or mediation attempts. The decision to halt military action was made by India and Pakistan directly through existing channels.
