The Monsoon Session of Parliament will begin on July 21, 2025, and is expected to conclude on August 21, 2025. The session will encompass 21 sittings over 32 days. Ahead of the session, PM Modi addressed the media. Major bills expected to be introduced include amendments to the GST, Jan Vishwas Act, and the Indian Institutes of Management Act. Discussions on environmental and taxation laws are also anticipated. Kiren Rijiju, the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, confirmed the government’s readiness to address pertinent issues. The session agenda features 15 bills, along with debates on Manipur’s financial grants. The Opposition has raised concerns and requested discussions on key issues such as the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, the Bihar SIR, and the Air India (AI) 171 crash.
