The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha convened for their fourth day, with opposition parties persisting in their call for a debate regarding the revision exercise. Adjournment motions have been a daily occurrence since the monsoon session began. Outside Parliament, protests persist, driven by the opposition’s claims that the revision process is being used to tamper with voter lists and eliminate votes prior to the assembly elections. In Bihar, discussions about a potential poll boycott have been mentioned by Rashtriya Janata Dal leaders Tejashwi Yadav and Manoj Jha. Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, alongside Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, DMK MP Kanimozhi, and Congress leaders Manickam Tagore and KC Venugopal, have been actively involved in the protests.
