Mumbai Police have apprehended a man in Noida, linked to a bomb threat that targeted Mumbai. The threat, received by the Mumbai Traffic Police via WhatsApp, warned of multiple attacks using ‘human bombs’ and RDX. The arrested individual, Ashwini Kumar, allegedly claimed that 34 vehicles laden with 400 kilograms of RDX and ‘human bombs’ would be deployed across the city. Kumar, who worked as an astrologer and resided in Noida, is now in police custody. The Mumbai Police have increased security across the state and are thoroughly investigating the origins and credibility of the threat. The message was purportedly sent by an entity identifying itself as ‘Lashkar-e-Jihadi’, claiming the involvement of Pakistani terrorists.
