Revelations from Tahawwur Hussain Rana shed light on his involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Rana has admitted he served as a trusted spy for the ISI and the Pakistani army. Sources indicate that Rana shared these details with the Mumbai Crime Branch, confirming his presence in Mumbai during the 2008 attacks. While in Tihar Jail, under the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Rana disclosed his training with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), alongside David Coleman Headley. Rana identified LeT as a spy network operating for Pakistan, in collaboration with the ISI. He also confessed to using his firm to establish the Mumbai immigration center, misrepresenting the related financial activities as business expenses. Surveillance of potential targets, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, was conducted by Rana. The Mumbai Police are poised to formally arrest Rana. Rana, a Pakistani-born Canadian citizen, was extradited to India in May, following a US Supreme Court decision.
