Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unleashed a scathing attack on the YSR Congress Party, claiming Tirupati laddus were adulterated with ghee from bathroom cleaner chemicals during their tenure. The remarks, made at a Kurnool district rally while launching land rights passbooks, have ignited fresh controversy over temple administration.
For half a decade, Naidu alleged, YSRCP presided over prasad preparation using impure, chemical-based ghee unfit for consumption, let alone devotion. This assault on the Sri Venkateswara temple’s holiness, he argued, was unforgivable.
Naidu was in Yemmiganur empowering farmers with ‘Aapki Zameen – Aapka Adhikar’ documents fortified against tampering. He refuted Jagan Mohan Reddy’s clearance claims, spotlighting the ex-CM’s uncle’s admission of irregularities. Post-cleansing, laddus now embody true purity—a stark upgrade Naidu proudly showcased.
YSRCP’s brand of politics drew ire too: Jagan’s Guntur march inconvenienced motorists, echoing prior excesses like a fatal convoy mishap and produce destruction. ‘Fight for people, not flex muscles outside polls,’ Naidu chided.
Optimism flowed for Andhra’s future, with tech-savvy land records set to eradicate disputes and boost farmer confidence. Naidu’s address masterfully fused outrage over sacred desecration with visionary governance, reinforcing TDP’s mandate amid simmering rivalries.
