At the centenary celebrations of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyanand Ji Maharaj, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred the title of ‘Dharma Chakravarti’. In his address, PM Modi expressed humility, accepting the title as a ‘prasad’ and dedicating it to the nation. The celebrations, organized by the Union Culture Ministry and the Bhagwan Mahaveer Ahimsa Bharti Trust, launched a year-long tribute to the spiritual leader. The event also recognized the significance of June 28, 1987, when Acharya Vidyanand Muniraj received his title, reinforcing the values of Jain culture. PM Modi also participated in the unveiling of commemorative postage stamps. He emphasized India’s rich cultural legacy, stemming from its timeless ideas and the contributions of its sages and saints. The centenary year will include cultural, educational, and spiritual programs across the country, focusing on community participation, youth engagement, and the promotion of Jain heritage. These initiatives aim to disseminate the teachings of Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj to future generations.
