The tragic death of Navjot Singh, a Finance Ministry official, has sent ripples of grief throughout the National Capital Region. The incident occurred in Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan on a Sunday when a BMW struck Singh, resulting in his death. His wife, Sandeep Kaur, was severely injured and remains in critical condition. The aftermath of the event was quickly marred by claims of an attempt to conceal details of the accident. The driver of the BMW, Gaganpreet Makkar, a 38-year-old woman, was arrested the following day. She was accompanied by her husband and two children during the accident. The collision occurred at Dhaula Kuan. However, the victims were taken to a hospital 20 kilometers away in GTB Nagar, a fact that has raised concerns.
