Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ignited Tamil Nadu’s election season by claiming the state is solidly behind the NDA and prepared to end the DMK’s rule. His X post from Friday morning previewed a pivotal rally in Maduranthakam, drawing sharp focus to the brewing contest.
Modi wrote, ‘Tamil Nadu with NDA. Joining leaders at Maduranthakam rally today. Tamil Nadu resolves to part ways with corrupt DMK. NDA’s governance excellence and regional commitments are endearing it to the masses.’
The event on the Chennai-Tindivanam highway launches NDA’s formal push for the upcoming Assembly elections, amid a surge in statewide politicking.
Announcing details, BJP state leader Nainar Nagendran said PM Modi will speak at the high-octane afternoon meet, the alliance’s opening salvo to dislodge the ‘anti-people’ DMK. ‘January 23 in Maduranthakam: PM launches campaign to boot out DMK,’ he told journalists earlier.
Expected to be a massive turnout with pan-state participation, the rally unites AIADMK, BJP, PMK, TMC, and AMMK chieftains, fortifying the anti-DMK bloc.
This precursor to the polls will invigorate activists and signal the rollout of comprehensive campaign efforts. Leveraging Modi’s appeal and NDA’s emphasis on development over dynasty, the message is clear: change is imminent in Tamil Nadu’s political firmament.
