During his Independence Day address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed the ‘Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’. This initiative, set to launch immediately, will provide financial assistance to young people beginning their careers in the private sector. The scheme will offer ₹15,000 to those taking on their first job, with the government investing ₹1 lakh crore in total. Modi stated the scheme intends to create approximately 3.5 crore new employment opportunities. Alongside this employment initiative, Modi also addressed the nation on the contribution of farmers, mentioned recent progress in women’s empowerment, and indicated upcoming reforms to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system, aimed at streamlining the tax structure and lowering rates on essential goods to benefit the public.
