A major announcement regarding the domicile policy has been made by Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar. A post on X, formerly Twitter, detailed the initiative. The post highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance the education system since the government’s establishment in November 2005. These efforts include the appointment of a significant number of teachers. The Chief Minister confirmed that the Education Department has been directed to amend the rules to prioritize Bihar residents (DOMICILE) in teacher recruitment. The implementation will begin with TRE-4 in 2025, followed by TRE-5 in 2026. Furthermore, STET will be conducted before the TRE-5 examination.
