Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s relentless pursuit of progress brought him to Patna’s Digha Tourism Ghat Thursday, where he scrutinized enhancements and laid out a visionary roadmap. This riverside gem on the Ganga is set for a major leap under his guidance.
As the Tourism Department converts Janardan Ghat into a tourism hotspot, Kumar called for an integrated garden and permanent infrastructure. His directive was firm: ‘Establish proper Ganga Aarti setups to captivate visitors, infusing the zone with profound devotion and drawing crowds from afar.’
Tourist welfare took center stage, with orders for superior basic and recreational facilities. ‘Craft an experience where Ganga explorers face zero hurdles,’ he emphasized, poised to elevate Bihar’s riverside appeal.
Kumar then turned to the strategic six-lane bridge rising parallel to JP Setu. ‘Push the pace for on-time delivery,’ he urged. ‘It will lighten the old bridge’s burden and bridge North-South Bihar more effectively, unlocking new opportunities.’
Notable attendees: Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Secretary Kumar Ravi, Tourism Secretary Nilesh Ramchandra Devre, and others. Echoing his PMCH site visit yesterday, Kumar reiterated uncompromising standards in public works.
