Noida police scored a significant victory over urban crime waves by nabbing a serial mobile snatcher with deep criminal roots. Rishabh Dayal, alias Rahul of Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase-3, fell into custody at Sector-62’s Ramleela Ground C-Block, courtesy of intelligence fusion and electronic monitoring by Sector-58 team.
Seizures included the duo of bikes (Splendor Plus, FZ) deployed in thefts, 11 recovered phones, and a banned knife. He preyed on passersby via motorcycle, seizing moments to rip away mobiles and bolt.
A fresh iPhone-16, lifted from Sector-62 Todd Mall Road two days back, was among them, matching a recent complaint. Ten others link to Sectors 62, 63, 05, 24, and Delhi-NCR locales; traceability efforts are in full swing for restitution.
Rishabh’s history is a rogue’s gallery: exceeding 26 charges in Gautam Buddh Nagar’s key stations for heists, near-fatal attacks, unlicensed weapons, stolen merch, and organized crime tags under Gangster Act. Prison stints aplenty.
Probe intensifies on his syndicate ties. This operation underscores Noida’s proactive stance, merging street smarts with surveillance to shield citizens from predatory thefts and foster secure neighborhoods.
