India’s military leadership has issued an unmistakable ultimatum to Pakistan, signaling a significantly escalated response to any future provocations. Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, leading the crucial Western Command, declared that the next punitive action against Pakistan would dwarf the impact of ‘Operation Sindoor.’ This past May operation, a decisive counter to a terror attack that claimed many lives, reportedly neutralized numerous militant bases and fighters across the border. General Katiyar, speaking during the ‘Exercise Ram Prahar,’ affirmed that this comprehensive military drill is a direct preparation for delivering a response ‘much more severe than before.’ ‘Exercise Ram Prahar’ is described as an aggressive, integrated combat maneuver involving multiple army divisions and advanced weaponry. The exercise’s scale and sophistication, including riverine crossings by tanks and air dominance by attack helicopters, underscore India’s commitment to operational readiness and strategic deterrence.
