Hanif Khan, a Pakistani individual, was arrested by Rajasthan CID Intelligence in Jaisalmer on charges of espionage. He is alleged to have provided confidential information about the Indian Army to Pakistan’s ISI. A formal case has been registered under the Official Secrets Act, 1923. The investigation was initiated due to suspicious activities linked to 47-year-old Hanif Mir Khan, a resident of Basanpir Juni, Sadar police station, presently living in Mohangarh, Jaisalmer. His frequent communication with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media platforms heightened concerns. Khan, originating from Bahla village near the India-Pakistan border, had unrestricted access to border regions. The interrogation process unveiled details about his knowledge of critical military infrastructure and troop deployments. Evidence also suggests his involvement in sharing troop movement data with a Pakistani handler during Operation Sindoor.
