Chirag Paswan, a Union Minister, has asserted that Rahul Gandhi’s remarks indicate a pre-emptive acceptance of defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. Paswan believes that instead of blaming institutions like the Election Commission, Gandhi should address internal issues within the Congress party. He specifically pointed to Gandhi’s allegations of electoral malpractice and EVM issues as evidence of conceding defeat. Paswan anticipates further losses for the Congress in future state elections, specifically mentioning Assam and Bengal. Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD echoed Gandhi’s concerns, alleging that the BJP is undermining constitutional bodies. Yadav suggested that the BJP IT cell has prior knowledge of election schedules. Rahul Gandhi had previously criticized the Election Commission’s response to his allegations about the Maharashtra elections, stating the response was inadequate.
