Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has greenlit a transformative Rs 542 crore tunnel to unite Bihar Museum and Patna Museum, commencing work on Sunday amid high anticipation. From the bustling Hatauli Mor on Nehru Path, he launched the boring machine, setting wheels in motion for this subterranean link.
In detailed discussions, Kumar probed construction methodologies, resource allocation, and acceleration tactics, directing teams to prioritize quality and pace. The tunnel will enable fluid navigation between rich collections, heralding a tourism boom. Ample parking was another key directive to accommodate enthusiasts.
Kumar’s itinerary featured a Bihar Museum walkthrough and assessment of the neighboring hostel-park redevelopment. Envisaged amenities encompass solar-equipped sheds, ample open parking, and a clubhouse for holistic facilities.
‘Finish on time – these will serve people profoundly,’ he commanded, capping inspections at the Patna Museum entrance with actionable inputs. Joining him were Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha, DG Anjani Kumar Singh, PS Deepak Kumar, CS Prayas Amrit, and PS Vinay Kumar.
Complementing prior project audits, this venture amplifies Bihar’s commitment to cultural infrastructure, promising enhanced accessibility and vibrancy for heritage lovers.
