Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Manipur, the first since 2023’s ethnic clashes between the Kuki and Meitei communities. The visit on Saturday, September 13th, will see the launch of multiple development projects. In Churachandpur, projects worth over Rs 7,300 crore will be inaugurated, while in Imphal, projects exceeding Rs 1,200 crore will be initiated. The Prime Minister’s schedule includes visits to Aizwal, Churachandpur’s Peace Ground, and Imphal’s Kangla Ground. The trip will conclude in Guwahati, Assam, where he will attend an event commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary singer-composer Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.
