Police in Hyderabad have arrested Samala Mahender Reddy, 27, for the murder of his wife, B. Swathi, 21. The incident took place in the Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Following a domestic dispute, Mahendra killed Swathi and proceeded to dismember her body. He then attempted to dispose of the remains in the Musi River near Pratap Singaram. Authorities were alerted when Mahendra tried to report his wife missing. During questioning, he admitted to the crime. The investigation revealed that Mahendra had discarded Swathi’s head, limbs, and legs in the river. The torso was found at their home. The victim was five months pregnant at the time of her death. Forensic teams are gathering evidence, and a DNA test is planned to identify the body. Legal proceedings are underway, with the case being registered under relevant sections of the law.
