Prioritizing public outreach, the Rajasthan government is spearheading Ayurveda’s revival. Sharma traced NIA’s trajectory from a 1976 college to a top-tier deemed university, lauding its stellar record in teaching, research, training, and treatment.
The institute’s national stature over 50 years is a source of Rajasthan’s pride, the CM said. He celebrated Ayurveda and yoga’s contributions to India’s global wellness identity, especially their potent strategies against common ailments.
Referencing Vedic origins and systematization by masters Charaka (who linked health to ethical living), Sushruta (surgery’s originator), and Vagbhata, Sharma connected ancient wisdom to contemporary relevance.
PM Modi’s visionary framework, bolstered by AYUSH, has propelled traditional healing worldwide—evident in International Yoga Day, escalated funding, and expanded networks. Current drives focus on hospital growth, Panchakarma enhancements, dispensary upgrades, and research advancements to weave Ayurveda into core healthcare.
Sharma’s address inspired a call to action, positioning Rajasthan as Ayurveda central with its herbal wealth driving innovation and accessibility for all.
