Law enforcement in Rajasthan struck a decisive blow against narcotics syndicates, raiding a covert drug manufacturing den in Pratapgarh’s countryside. The ‘Chakravyuh’ initiative yielded 1.897 kg of mephedrone worth Rs 1.60 crore, firearms, and production machinery, laying bare an inter-state conspiracy.
Hathunia police, tipped off and empowered by SP B. Aditya, stormed the Asawata-Kulthana road farm under cover. A cement-sheet hut harbored an advanced lab setup, now dismantled. The haul’s international value underscores the racket’s scale.
Seized paraphernalia encompassed mixers, heaters, induction units, and weighing devices. Detained suspects include Pratapgarh local Murad Khan Pathan and Gujarat native Mohammad Junaid, who owned up to two-day production runs.
Two fugitives—local Jivan Anjana and MP’s Sharik alias Jerry—evaded capture; special units are tracking them. Murad, no stranger to crime with NDPS and assault records, surrendered a loaded handgun and cartridges. Transport assets, including a Yamaha two-wheeler and automobile, were impounded.
Commanded by Addl. SP Gajendra Singh Jodha and CO Gajendra Singh Rawat, the mission’s foot soldiers were ASI Udaiveer Singh alongside Manohar Singh, Suresh Kumar, Mukesh, Girish Chand, Bhagwati Lal, and chauffeur Ganpat.
Supply lines and end-markets remain under scrutiny, as this bust fortifies Rajasthan’s defenses in the war on synthetic drugs.
