The ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament in 2025, scheduled to end on August 21, continues to face interruptions in both houses due to opposition protests concerning the Bihar caste survey (SIR). The INDIA bloc members boycotted the session on Monday and demonstrated at the Election Commission office, protesting against claims of “vote fraud.” This situation intensified when Delhi Police apprehended Rahul Gandhi and other opposition MPs. On Monday, the Lok Sabha approved the National Sports Governance Bill and the National Anti-Doping (Amendment) Bill. The Rajya Sabha is expected to consider these bills today, with the NDA government expressing confidence in their passage.
