IIT Delhi is revolutionizing its research landscape through the innovative Deepak Raghavan Family Foundation Accelerator Program, designed specifically for ambitious faculty members aged 45 and below. These young academics will be elevated to five-year endowed chair roles with generous, purpose-flexible funding.
Grants can be channeled into acquiring advanced instruments, licensing software, conducting terrain-based studies, crafting prototypes, or onboarding postdoctoral fellows. The program prioritizes joint ventures with industry stakeholders to accelerate the journey from ideas to impactful inventions and intellectual property.
Additional perks include research personnel and vital amenities, ensuring faculty can thrive in discovery without compromising on classroom commitments. Notably, it introduces fully sponsored PhD fellowships every five years, pairing students with chair professors for hands-on research and international networking via conferences.
