A devastating accident at Pavagadh in Gujarat claimed the lives of six people when a ropeway trolley transporting construction materials malfunctioned. The incident took place on September 6, at the Pavagadh Hill Temple located in the Panchmahal district. The cause of the collapse was attributed to a snapped cable wire of the cargo ropeway. Visuals from the scene showed the fallen carriage and the presence of rescue equipment. Minister Rushikesh Patel stated that the bogie, which was carrying six laborers, broke apart and fell, leading to their demise. The local authorities have begun an investigation to ascertain the reasons behind the accident. The incident has highlighted concerns regarding safety protocols at the construction site near the well-frequented Pavagadh temple.
