RSS Chief Bhagwat Defines ‘Hindu’ as ‘Responsible for India’

In a significant address in Bengaluru, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat articulated that the essence of being Hindu is intrinsically linked to national responsibility for India. He underscored that the concept of ‘A-Hindu’ does not exist in India, as all citizens originate from the same ancestral line, making Hinduism the foundational culture of the land. Bhagwat declared India as a Hindu nation, explaining that Muslims and Christians are also descendants of Hindu ancestors. For Hindus, he stated, this identity translates to a profound duty towards Bharat Mata. During the lecture series, Bhagwat identified four distinct segments within Hindu society based on their connection and pride in their heritage. He reiterated his stance on India’s Hindu identity and the shared lineage of its people. Bhagwat urged for a cohesive Hindu society that actively promotes the universal concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and fosters an ethical, compassionate Indian life model for the world to emulate. The gathering marked a key event in the RSS’s 100-year journey, drawing 1200 distinguished guests.
