BJP MP Samik Bhattacharya has voiced sharp criticism of Rahul Gandhi, alleging that the Congress leader is exploiting non-issues for political gain. Bhattacharya’s comments were made in response to Gandhi’s assertion that he was being prevented from speaking in the Lok Sabha, which Bhattacharya labeled a ‘political stunt’ devoid of merit. He further contended that the Congress has not established itself as a responsible opposition party. Jagdambika Pal, another BJP MP, also weighed in, suggesting that Gandhi should allow the House to operate normally to facilitate his ability to speak. Pal explained that it was the Congress members’ own disruptive behavior that led to the disruption of the proceedings. The opposition, including the Congress and other parties, has raised concerns about issues such as the Pahalgam terror attack and electoral rolls, leading to multiple adjournments in both houses of Parliament.
