Delhi experienced severe weather conditions, leading to a distressing incident in the Kalkaji area. A father and daughter were critically injured when a large tree fell on them due to strong winds and heavy rain. The event, recorded on CCTV, occurred around 9:50 AM, with the tree landing on a biker and two other vehicles near Paras Chowk. Emergency responders and onlookers quickly came to the rescue, freeing the individuals trapped under the tree. The injured were immediately taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for medical attention. The victims, identified as Sudhir Kumar (50) and his daughter Priya (22), are currently receiving treatment. The fallen tree also resulted in damage to several cars and blocked the road. Police worked to remove the obstruction by cutting the tree into manageable sections. The heavy rainfall has caused widespread traffic issues, prompting warnings and alternative route suggestions from the Delhi Police, as well as a passenger advisory from Delhi Airport.
