Blending science and community service, Sarva Panchayat in Sheikhpura launched Sampoorna Abhiyan 2.0 on National Science Day at its Anganwadi Center 156. This three-month effort in aspirational districts prioritizes awakening public focus on health and nourishment.
Prominent figures present were panchayat leader Munni Kumari, the area’s Deputy Development Commissioner, planning officer, ICDS program lead, Jivika’s district manager, Barhiga development and circle officers, hospital supervisor, and CDPO. The agenda covered maternal-child wellbeing, TB identification, nutrition consistency, and infrastructure upgrades for Anganwadis.
The event pulsed with godh bharai blessings for moms-to-be and annaprashan for babies, infused with expert advice on pregnancy and childcare precautions. Educational kits reached young children; girls heard on vital nutrition, hygiene practices, and clean water, handed menstrual supplies.
Medical teams tested for anemia, dispensed drugs, and hammered home hygiene during cycles and dietary balance. Dangers of open toilets were detailed, pushing for habitual use. Health and Anganwadi personnel urged comprehensive approaches: wholesome food with cleanliness, safe spaces, and routine movement.
Strong maternal and teen health underpins societal strength, they stressed. The outreach fostered deep awareness, paving the way for enduring health advancements.
