In connection with the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, the Shillong District Court has remanded Sonam Raghuvanshi and four other co-accused to police custody for a duration of eight days. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) chief and SP (City), East Khasi Hills, Herbert Pyniaid Kharkongor, verified this development. Following their court appearance, Sonam Raghuvanshi, along with Raj Singh Kushwaha, Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand, were taken back to the Shillong Sadar Police Station. The police investigation is ongoing following the discovery of Raja Raghuvanshi’s body near Sohra, close to Cherrapunji, Meghalaya, on June 2.
