Shiv Sena MLA Amol Khathal Assaulted in Maharashtra: Details Emerge

An attack took place on Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Amol Khathal in Sangamner, Maharashtra. The assault occurred at the Malpani Lawns during a festival opening. According to initial reports, a man approached the MLA under the pretense of a handshake and then tried to assault him. The assailant was quickly detained by security and turned over to the police. Following the attack, the MLA’s supporters assembled in large numbers outside the venue. In response to the situation, police have heightened security across the city.
