Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar spoke in Mysuru, crediting the Congress party’s victory to its guarantee schemes and the Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi. At a public event, Shivakumar praised the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the impact of the Congress party’s symbol, the ‘hand,’ which he said had silenced opposition while supporting farmers. He highlighted the strength of the Congress’s policies and initiatives designed to assist the public. Shivakumar also noted the initiation of projects valued at Rs 2,578 crores and the use of World Bank funding to transform the education system. The Deputy CM was in Mysuru for a public event and a ‘Sadhana’ conference. An unfortunate incident occurred when an escort vehicle in his convoy overturned on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, causing minor injuries to five individuals. The Deputy CM was uninjured and proceeded with his travel to Bengaluru without delay.
