Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s trip to Delhi involved several significant engagements. He met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, joined by ministers KJ George, HC Mahadevappa, Satish Jarkiholi, and Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh. A notable surprise was his meeting with actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan, whom Siddaramaiah lauded for his film’s social impact. Prior to this, the Chief Minister was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The meeting with Sitharaman is taking place in the context of the state’s demand for a special grant of Rs 11,495 crore under the 15th Finance Commission, which Karnataka claims the Centre has not yet released. The Chief Minister also held discussions with AICC General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala on various important issues.
