The Gazipur police have arrested Sonam Raghuvanshi in connection with the Meghalaya honeymoon couple case. Sources indicate that Sonam contacted her brother and shared her current status. She was found in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, about two hours prior to the arrest. The Indore police are en route to Gazipur to assist with the arrest. Meghalaya’s Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, confirmed the significant development in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder investigation, acknowledging the state police’s efforts. He announced the arrest of three assailants and mentioned that the search for another suspect is ongoing. CM Sangma posted on X, “Within 7 days a major breakthrough has been achieved by the #meghalayapolice in the Raja murder case … 3 assailants who are from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested, female has surrendered and operation still on to catch 1 more assailant .. well done #meghalayapolice.” DGP I Nongrang stated that four individuals, including Raja’s wife, have been arrested for the murder in Meghalaya. It is alleged that Sonam hired killers to murder her husband during their honeymoon.
