The Meghalaya honeymoon murder case involving Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi has taken a new turn. After being missing since May 23, Sonam has been found. Ghazipur Police arrested Sonam, claiming she hired killers to murder her husband. Sonam informed her brother of her condition via a phone call.
Sonam, from Indore, was located in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, early Monday. Indore police promptly went to Ghazipur to apprehend her. Reports suggest she was found in a distressed state and is at the Sakhi One Stop Centre.
Devi Singh, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s father, told the media, “Sonam came to a dhaba in Ghazipur. She called her brother, Govind. Police went there and took her to the Police Station.” He strongly denied the accusations, saying, “100% false allegations are being made against Sonam.”
He expressed concerns about the investigation: “Police bikk gayi hai… I request to send CBI to investigate how the stuff kept in the activa reached near the body.” Regarding how Sonam reached the dhaba, he said, “Only Sonam can tell this. The couple had Rs 70,000. Raja had a chain and two rings, while Sonam had a chain around her neck, bracelet, anklet, and money…”
