Kerala police are investigating the suicide of a 40-year-old woman, Rasina, who was allegedly humiliated in public. Three members of the SDPI, a political organization, have been taken into custody in relation to the incident. The woman was found dead in her home in Pinarayi village after being confronted by a group concerning her male friend. The friend was allegedly assaulted and detained, and his family members were summoned to the SDPI office. Simultaneously, the Supreme Court has intervened in the case of ADGP HM Jayaram in Tamil Nadu, transferring the investigation into his alleged involvement in an abduction to the CBCID.
